「天国の特別な子供」

会議が開かれました 。地球からはるか遠くで。
「また次の赤ちゃん誕生の時間ですよ」

天においでになる神様に向かって、天使たちはいいました。

「この子は特別の赤ちゃんで、たくさんの愛情が必要でしょう。
この子の成長はとてもゆっくりに見えるかもしれません。
もしかして一人前になれないかも しれません。

だからこの子は下界で出会う人々に、
とくに気をつけてもらわな ければならないのです。
もしかしてこの子の思うことはなかなかわかってもらえないかもしれません。
何をやってもうまくいかないかもしれません。

ですから私たちは、この子がどこに生まれるか、
注意深く選ばなければならな いのです。

この子の生涯が、しあわせなものとなるように。
どうぞ神様、 この子のためにすばらしい両親をさがしてあげて下さい。

神様のために特別な任務をひきうけてくれるような両親を・・。

その二人は、すぐには気がつかないかもしれません。
彼ら二人が自分たちに求められている特別な役割を・・。
けれども天から授けられたこの子によって、ますます強い信仰と豊かな愛をいだくようになることでしょう。

やがてニ人は、自分たちに与えられた特別の神の思召しをさとるようになるで しよう。
神からおくられたこの子を育てることによって、柔和でおだやかなこの尊い授かりものこそ、天から授かった特別な子どもなのです」

Heaven's Very Special Child

A meeting was held, quite far from earth
"It's time again for another birth"

Said the Angels to the Lord above,
"This special child will need much love"

Her progress may seem very slow,
Accomplishments she may not show
And she'll require extra care
From all the folks she meets down there.

She may not run or laugh or play
Her thoughts may seem quite far away
In many ways she won't adapt,
And she'll be known as handicapped.

So let's be careful where she's sent
We want her life to be content

Please, Lord, find the right parents who
Will do this special job for You.

They will not realize right away
The leading role they're asked to play

But with this child sent from above
Comes stronger faith and richer love.

And soon they'll know the privilege given
In caring for this gift from Heaven.

Their precious charge, so meek and mild
Is heaven's very special child.
